Last Time I Saw You is a coming of age narrative adventure that hits you right in the feels. Set in a beautifully imagined version of late ’80s Japan, you play as Ayumi, a young guy taking his first shaky steps into adulthood. The story is all about love, acceptance and dealing with a mysterious curse that is fallen over his hometown. Whereas Ayumi, you will explore a world full of complex characters and dive deep into themes of self-discovery, friendship and growing up.
What makes the game really stand out is the vibrant, hand drawn art style and traditional animation giving everything a nostalgic vibe. You’ll meet a wild cast of characters inspired by Japanese mythology—from samurai crows to kleptomaniac kappas—alongside your school friends and townspeople. Moeover there is the literal girl of your dreams which adds a whole layer of mystery and heart to Ayumi’s journey.
