Survive the wilds of Icarus, a terraformed planet gone wrong. From their space station, prospectors drop down to explore, harvest, craft, and hunt for fortune. Icarus is unforgiving with its toxic atmosphere, savage wildlife, apex predators, destructive storms, and forest fires. Whereas planning and preparation are key, whether you’re hunting for food, finding oxygen, or stockpiling supplies for a long journey.
You can go solo or team up with up to 8 Steam friends, or play on dedicated servers. The First Cohort of prospectors can mine over 128 square kilometers of terrain across two maps (Olympus and Styx), full of hidden caves and biomes. Every tree can harvest, every rock mined, and every creature hunted.
Head back to the orbital workshop to trade exotic matter for advanced tech and items with unique perks for your next drop. So you can experience Icarus however you want: battle the elements and predators in Open World mode, complete timed missions to mine exotics, or unleash your creativity in Outpost regions with regenerating resources and safe environments.
Originally meant to be a second Earth, Icarus became a disaster when terraforming failed and the air turned toxic. However it became a symbol of humanity’s overreach.
