The Man in the Fields is a chilling game which based on an ancient ritual that promises wealth and safety, but only if you can survive the night. As you rush to close everything, you might encounter a shadowy figure in your house. This isn’t The Man in the Fields—he’s just a herald. But whatever you do, DO NOT LOOK INTO THE FIELDS! So if you do, you’ll see a terrifying figure with elongated limbs heading straight for your house. You’ll need to lock yourself in a safe room with a crucifix before it finds a way in.
Whereas the game features five different locations that change every time you play so you can’t rely on finding items in the same places. However the ritual can end in various ways, some more fortunate than others. Racing against time while possibly avoiding the Herald makes this game both challenging and intense. While the reward for completing the ritual is not straightforward, adding to the mystery and suspense.
