You just scored an internship with Times & Galaxy, the Dorp system’s favorite holopaper and five-time Bort Jorbeller Award winner. You’re the first-ever robo reporter, so don’t blow this (unpaid) shot. All the legends started as interns, and you’ve got seventeen cycles to prove you belong in the newsroom.
However we’ve got some wild stories lined up for you! Cover shuttle crashes, intersolar cat shows, even space ghost funerals. Chained Together
Once you pick your assignment, head to the shuttle bay and blast off for some epic intern adventures! Make sure your conversational circuits are top-notch as you earn (or lose) the trust of over 100 characters.
After each assignment, it’s time to file your story. Use the Build-a-Story™ tool to put together your article based on who you talked to and how deep you dug.
The Times & Galaxy crew all live and work on the Scanner, a huge spacebound newsroom. Whereas between assignments, explore the Scanner and meet a diverse crew of over twenty characters, including fellow reporters, editorial staff, pilots and ship’s crew.
The staff includes Humans, Augers, Verge, Xeel, and of course, Robos. Everyone’s got their own stuff going on and will react to you in all sorts of ways based on your choices.
The Scanner isn’t just a newsroom. However it’s where you sleep, eat, work, and relax. After recharging your literal batteries in your bunk, recharge your emotional ones in the Garden.
You can customize your chassis and paint job before arriving at the Scanner and get upgrades from the ship’s Shuttlebots. Just watch out—some of them have a bit of an attitude. “Beep” has never sounded so aggressive.
