Toads of the Bayou is a tactical roguelike adventure where your group of wandering toads is tricked by the cunning Baron Samedi and trapped in a cursed swamp. To escape you will need to cleanse the bayou of corruption, battling through waves of enemies using a strategic blend of deck-building and grid-based combat. Upgrade the Tavern to unlock powerful cards, set traps and harness the vodou magic of Veves to strengthen your arsenal.
Choose between three distinct toads, each with unique traits and weaknesses, as you traverse procedurally generated islands filled with combat encounters, strategic challenges and permadeath. However combine tactical movement cards with devastating combat abilities to craft a deck capable of defeating the Baron’s forces. Every run is unique, offering new upgrades, tactical decisions, and surprises in this strategy packed roguelike. So will you outsmart the Baron and reclaim the bayou or fall prey to its sinister forces?
